Who are we?

SeDoMoCha parents/guardians and community members who come together to discuss school
hot topics including family needs, school curriculum, and procedures with the purpose of
assisting the district in supporting goals that meet the ever-evolving needs of our students. We
act as a liaison between families and school administration to discuss topics in a respectful
manner.

Any parent/guardian committed to providing the best educational opportunities for all children
is invited to participate, and service will continue until June of 2021. Their duties will be to
represent the entire constituency of parents/guardians and their collective topics/suggestions
and makes a conscience effort to be part of the solution to any issues and to share all successes.

What are we doing?

Encourage and foster connected relationships among parents/guardians, students, teachers,
administrators, board members, and the community. We will be reviewing and discussing a wide
array of educational issues without inserting personal thoughts, beliefs, biases, or agendas.

How do we accomplish this?

We are a parent/guardian committee that gathers information without prejudging or reaching a
verdict before knowing all the details. Our job is not to determine if a situation is right or wrong,
but to simply advocate for the thoughts and feelings of the collective parents/guardians that are
being represented by this group. We use the Superintendent, other School Administrators and
school resources to better understand and then communicate the bigger picture to our
constituents. We understand that the effectiveness of the Committee is not the responsibility of
any school official or found on any post or tweet on social media, but rather the effectiveness
lies within our own collective voice to move towards the best educational experience for all
children.

Communication with a transparent intent and with the purpose of resolving concerns not
heightening divides is a responsibility of the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). The PAC listens to
the voices of the community and turns conversations into actions and success. Lastly, it is to help
individuals learn the truth and form their own opinions, while empowering them to advocate for
themselves and their children.

Meeting Date

Meetings will be the last Wednesday of the month from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. beginning on
September 29, 2021. Meetings will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room.
