If you have been identified as a close contact who was within 6 feet of a COVID-19 positive individual for a cumulative total of at least 15 minutes over a 24-hour period, then we use the table below to determine if each person qualifies for an exception as listed in the table below:

Chart showing scenarios based on COVID-19 exposure

Did you know?

  • If a student/staff member is either fully vaccinated or had COVID-19 within the last 90 days and is no longer infectious, then there is not a scenario where they will have to quarantine.
  • The CDC uses pool testing and universal masking as tools to keep students in school. Over the past two months, SeDoMoCha had 12 positive cases and 207 close contacts.  Of those 207 close contacts, only 46 students had to quarantine or 78% of the close contacts were able to stay in school.
  • The CDC says students/staff must community quarantine (i.e., no going to the grocery store or playing in the park) both when they are pool testing or universal masking, even though they can still come to school.
