Last Friday’s Student in the Spotlight assembly honored students in grades K–8 who show exceptional respect for others, for staff, and for their learning environment. Teachers shared kind words before each student received a certificate, a school store gift card, and a big round of applause from classmates, staff, and proud families.
We also celebrated our Staff in the Spotlight, Mrs. Amy Fagan-Cannon (known affectionately throughout the school community as Mrs. FC), for October’s theme of Fostering Belonging! Assistant Principal Walker shared that Mrs. FC “intentionally fosters belonging which builds relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and respect, and she creates spaces where differences are celebrated rather than overlooked.” Her positivity and warmth inspire students to meet SOAR expectations and make SeDoMoCha a place where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected.
