Dear Students, Staff, Parents and Community Members:
I am writing to inform you that the CDC will be adding SeDoMoCha to their outbreak list. This is due to the fact that there were three (3) cases within a two-week period which meets the requirement of an outbreak. These cases did not require closing the school. All three cases were unrelated and, apparently, the exposures occurred outside of the school. The CDC was pleased with how the SeDoMoCha school nurse, Mrs. Arcaro handled each case. Again, because there is no additional exposure, no action is needed such as having the school go into remote learning mode.
I would like to say how thankful RSU 68 is for the community taking all the proper precautions of wearing a mask at school, washing hands, communicating with the district about possible exposure, and maintaining physical distance. I also know of the many sacrifices that our staff and families in our community have made this fall. It is because of this effort that we have been able to keep SeDoMoCha open so far this year!!
Questions for the school can be directed to the Superintendent’s Office by calling 564-6535 option 5 or directed to the school nurse, Courtney Arcaro at 564-6535 ext.1106.
Thank you for all of your efforts and hang in there!
My best,
Stacy Shorey
Superintendent of Schools
