Exciting News for SeDoMoCha Families!
Your 5th grader is now eligible to join our Beginning Band at SeDoMoCha Middle School! Playing a musical instrument is a great opportunity to build community within our school district, challenge ourselves as individuals, collaborate with peers, develop a deeper understanding of music, and of course, have fun! 
A representative from David French Music will be here at SeDoMoCha on Thursday, September 19th at 6:30pm. David French is a company that provides musical instruments for students via a rent-to-own program. They offer flutes, clarinets, trumpets, bell kits, trombones, and saxophones, all of which are great choices. These instruments are all brand new and should be very playable for a beginning student. However, if the cost of renting one of these instruments is a barrier please let Mr. Hunnewell know. Our school does have a small inventory of instruments, and we should be able to find an instrument for your student to play.
Here’s a clip from David French’s instrument demo with our 5th graders last week. The students were a fantastic audience, and many of them seem eager to begin their journey as a member of the band!
