Taking advantage of this beautiful fall weather, our kindergarten classes have been embracing outdoor learning, bringing academic lessons to life through nature-based activities. The kindergarten team shared, “We have been engaging in various outdoor learning across academic areas! We have taken math outdoors by counting, building, and comparing numbers to 5 using outdoor materials. We have also taken our illustration unit from writing outdoors by collecting materials we find outside to create people! Our students have loved finding ways to connect the curriculum we are learning in the classroom to outdoor experiences!” 🍁🍂
