Last week, 21 girls in grades 7 and 8 went to the Trades For Me conference at TCTC to learn about careers in the trades. The students got to select two workshops to participate in areas such as culinary, criminal justice, maritime engineering, entrepreneurship, commercial truck driving, welding, auto mechanics, and forestry. They got lots of hot pink swag and had a blast with hands on learning and can’t wait to attend again next year.
