🌟 Twenty-two of our SeDoMoCha 8th grade girls spent the day exploring big possibilities at the Trades For Me conference at Tri-County Technical Center! They joined students from across the region and dove into two hands-on career sessions each—opening the door to fields not traditionally pursued by women.
They explored everything from commercial truck driving/MDOT, forestry, automotive tech, welding, and Bath Iron Works… to “Skin and Skulls,” graphic design, and culinary arts.
Everyone came home with a fun swag bag, and some even brought back items from their trainings—like a new hard hat, a pyramid that they welded, a phone stand they molded, and delicious bread and pastries they made!
Thank you to TCTC, New Ventures Maine, and all the sponsors for giving our girls the chance to explore new paths!
