In the event of weather-related cancellations and other important announcements, SeDoMoCha utilizes an automated calling system to contact parents and employees. If a broadcasted message is not received correctly, press 1 to replay the message from the beginning. You will also notice the caller ID phone number for our calls is 877-564-8456. You can replay the last broadcasted message by dialing 877-565-8456 from the phone on which you received the automated call. Cancellation announcements are also available on our website, on Twitter @sedomocha, and on the following television stations: WLBZ 2, WABI 5, WVII 7.

School Delay, Cancellation, and Early Dismissal Plan

Please note the following procedures regarding school delays, cancellations and early dismissals:

Delay of School

If conditions warrant a delayed opening of school, announcements will be made by 6:00 a.m.  If cancellation becomes necessary after the delay, announcements will be made by 7:30 a.m.

Cancellation of School

If it is necessary to cancel school, announcements will be made before 6:00 a.m.

Early Dismissal

When conditions warrant an early dismissal from school, announcements will be made by 12:00 p.m.

Student Destination Plan/Emergency Plan

Parents are responsible, at least annually, for filing a student destination plan with the school to be used in case of an early dismissal or any other emergency school closure. They are further expected to notify the school immediately of any changes to this plan.

Parental Responsibility

Parents should always use their own judgment in keeping children home from school should local weather conditions warrant such an action.
